Account Executives

Linda McGinnis (Email)

Linda McGinnis joined this agency in 1989. She is currently functioning as an Account Executive. Linda has 23 years insurance experience, of which the past 12 years have been spent servicing medium-to-large commercial accounts. Prior to joining the agency, she served as agency manager of an insurance agency. Before working in the insurance industry, Linda worked 15 years in the electric utility field for both cooperative and investor-owned companies.

Carolyn Gilbert (Email)

Carolyn Gilbert joined this agency in 1992, as an Account Executive, bringing with her 25 years of commercial insurance experience. Prior to joining the agency, she served as a commercial property specialist for a large brokerage facility and as commercial accounts manager for a local independent agency. She has been in production since 1986 servicing medium-to-large commercial accounts. Carolyn has a Certified Insurance Counselor designation.

Bill Webb (Email)

Bill Webb joined this agency in 1995 as an Account Executive. He has 35 years experience in the insurance industry as a producer, account manager and agency manager. Bill specializes in large homebuilder accounts and habitational properties. He has handled a wide range of medium-to-large accounts including real estate developers, cable television operators, and contractors. He has also designed and implemented national association programs and "owner controlled" insurance programs on large construction projects. Bill was a founding director of the center for nonprofit management.

Carl Smith (Email)

Carl Smith has spent the last 30 years in education, working with the Duncanville Independent School District. Carl has extensive administrative management experience, having spent eighteen of his thirty years in the central office with responsibility in instruction, personnel and employee benefits. In his most recent experience as Executive Director of Personnel, Carl was responsible for all day-to-day operations in the recruitment, employment, training and compensation for all auxiliary and professional personnel in the school district. Carl graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science/Industrial Education degree in 1968, and in 1976, with a Masters Degree in Public School Administration/Education. He has completed all education requirements for his Doctorate from the University of Texas at Commerce in the field of Public School Administration. Carl was employed by Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates, Inc. in November 1997 as an Account Executive.

Andi Evans (Email)

Andi Medlin Evans joined Scarbrough, Medlin, and Associates in April 2000 as an Account Executive. Andi is responsible for designing insurance programs for medium-to-large commercial clients in various industries. She received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. Andi is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas County.

Dan Thomas (Email)

Dan Thomas, CPCU, CIC, joined Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates in 2001 as an Account Executive. Dan is responsible for designing property and casualty insurance programs for medium-to-large commercial clients. He is a Licensed Risk Manager and has attained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, which represents the highest level of professional and educational achievement in the property/casualty insurance field. He has also earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, and has spent three years underwriting medium-to-large commercial accounts for two national insurance carriers. Dan is also actively involved in the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce, 500 Inc., the Dallas CPCU Society and the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas County.

Matt Aripoli (Email)

Matt Aripoli joined Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates in August 2004 as an Account Executive. He has extensive background in the hospitality and food service industry. He has been a member of operations management for three separate casualty American theme concepts of the last ten years. Matt was employed most recently as an Assistant General Manager for Texas Wings, Inc., and prior to that as a General Manager for Tony Roma's in 1995. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Political Science. He is an active member in the Plano and Frisco Chamber of Commerce, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, and Great Dallas Restaurant Association. Matt is responsible for designing and customizing insurance programs for medium-to-large commercial accounts in various industries.

Bill McGinnis (Email)

Bill McGinnis came to Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates in July 2003. Bill was President and CEO of CoServ since 1980. Prior to joining CoServ, Bill was assistant manager of Comanche Electric Cooperative from 1969 to 1977 and assistant manager of Concho Valley Electric Cooperative from 1977 to 1980. During his career in the electric cooperative area, Bill served as President of the TEC statewide association in 1984-95, served seven years as a Director, and two years as Board President of National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Cooperation. While at CoServ, Bill was President of CoServ Security, CoServ Utility Services, Brazos Power Marketing Cooperative, Brazos EWG, and Llano Utility Service. Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University in 1967.

Bill Brown (Email)

Bill Brown joined Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates in 2002. Bill has an extensive property and casualty background. Following graduation from the University of Texas, Austin, Bill spent 21 years with a leading east coast insurance company. His managerial duties were focused in large account production and underwriting. Bill joined the agency ranks in 1974 and served as President and COO during the development of a large Dallas agency. His duties were focused in large account development and service. Bill serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Medina Children's Home. He and his family are actively involved in their church.

Ann M. Macomber (Email)

Ann. M. Macomber joined Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates in October 2006 as an Account Executive. She was most recently employed with Nationwide Insurance Company. She began her extensive wholesale and retail career in the gift industry in 1992 as a member of sales and management for two top gift companies. She was employed by The Encore Group, and prior to that as a District Manager/Account Executive for Russ Berrie Company, Inc. Ann is responsible for designing and customizing insurance programs for medium to large accounts in various industries.

 

 

Financial Services

Robbie McCullough (Email)

Robbie McCullough has over 19 years of experience specializing in financial services. Having graduated from Baylor University in 1984, he began his career with Southwestern Life as a career agent. The next 9 years were spent with a regional carrier marketing all lines of employee benefits including retirement plans and self funded benefits. Most recently he was the leading Regional Sales Manager for a national managed care network. Robbie received his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation from the Wharton School. This ten-course program encompasses all aspects of employee benefits including retirement planning, legal issues and all health and welfare programs. Robbie is a local member of the International Federation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Dallas Association of Health Underwriters.

Haley McGuire, GBA, Senior Account Manager (Email)

Haley McGuire has over 10 years experience in the insurance industry. After graduating from Louisiana State University, Haley spent several years as a carrier representative and worked for a national general agency marketing group health, life, dental, and disability products. For the last 5 years, she has been responsible for assisting our clients with benefit selection, implementation and ongoing administration of all types of employee benefit plans. Her attention to detail allows our customers the peace of mind to know that all of their specific needs are met. She works with clients to develop effective communication pieces, conducts clear and concise enrollment meetings, provides legislative updates and compliance support, settles claim discrepancies, and resolves any of the complex claims and service issues that surround our client's employee benefits program.

Steve Frisch, Account Executive (Email)

Steve Frisch has been a Registered Health Underwriter with 24 years experience in the insurance profession and has expertise in all phases of health insurance as well as voluntary worksite benefits. Steve’s main responsibility at Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates is to design and implement voluntary programs that allow participating company employees to augment their personal insurance programs through payroll deduction on a simplified issue underwriting basis. He is well qualified to assist Scarbrough, Medlin & Associates in all aspects of group plan design and administration.

Lori Sorg, Account Executive (Email)

Lori Sorg has over 16 years experience in the employee benefits field. She has a wide range of expertise in medical, dental, and ancillary products. After receiving a B.S. degree in Marketing from Illinois State University, Lori began her career as an Account Manager with a local start-up HMO. Her responsibilities included strategic planning with large employers, coordinating enrollment activities and resolving service issues. Most recently, Lori was a Sales Director in Aetna's Key Accounts Division. Lori completed Aetna's Group School, a highly respected employee benefits training program. As a top producer for Aetna, Lori marketed a wide range of self-funded and fully insured benefit programs and managed the account implementation process for employers of all sizes. Lori's experience with the carrier side of the business allows her to excel in working as a liaison between employers and the insurance vendors. She has a proven track record in effectively evaluating customers' benefit programs and strategizing with clients to develop a package that meets their multi-faceted needs.
